Welcome to CARPODATA : archaeobotanical database
CARPODATA facilitates access to a detailed database of plant macro-remains, seeds and fossil fruits found in archaeological contexts.

CARPODATA contains scientific results from the research of the archaeobotanists of the Laboratoire Chrono-environnement UMR 6249 and data produced and published by archaeobotanists in France.
CARPODATA also aims to allow carpologists to create and share their own online archives.
The content of this database may be used for research purposes, but the CARPODATA project must be credited for the use of its content. Any data found in the database remains the property of the excavation managers, specialists and consultants who contributed to the project.
This project is supported by Inrap, ANR, CNRS Chrono-environnement, Université Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, GéoArchEon, OSU ThETA and the Région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté..
